  1. What a great Infographic! I’m sharing this with all of my social media. The information about what your body is missing when you have cravings is invaluable. Thanks for posting this!

  2. I love the information but what I’d love more is to see some scientific information as well. The food suggestions are great but I’d like to know more about what I can do to prevent cravings for things like nicotine. Better yet, I’d love to see information on how effective each ‘cure’ is so I can make more informed decisions about what I eat.

  3. Thank you for this article. Lately, I have been craving for salty chips. And I know that salty chips are unhealthy so I really try hard not eating them. But I gave in yesterday and ate Popcorners (sea salt flavor). It is good to know that there is a healthy alternative to satisfy cravings.

  4. This is a great reference for those times when the thought of chips or sweets can’t get out of my head. It is so nice to know that there are many different options to replace these unhealthy foods. I can’t wait to try these replacements out during my next craving and see how different my body and mind feels after. Hopefully I will feel energized instead of feeling bad and guilty after a bag of chips.

  5. Great information! I am aware of what some of my cravings mean but there are quiet a few listed here that I did not know about! The options to replace the craving is wonderful and I will be using this reference often.

  6. I have cravings for fatty snacks and alcohol all the time. Since November I have lost 28 lbs by avoiding those as well as sweets. The weight loss has slowed because I haven’t kicked those bad eating and drinking habits completely. I’ll try turnip greens next! Thanks for the tip!

  7. Great advice, I’ve been curious about getting enough iron in my diet lately because it is a key mineral responsible for blood health. Figuring that my blood needs to be healthy in order to deliver these nutrients I wanted to make sure my intake was sufficient. I love the texture of raw oats. They are slightly chewy at first few bites but become filling and I notice give me much less gas. I’ll put some in a bowl with a sprinkle of brown sugar and milk and sometimes its a great snack if I get hungry before lunch. Ironman!

  8. This is a very helpful chart! Better take notes on this one. It will come in handy when I go shopping. Instead of buying fatty foods, I’ll get nuts, seeds, and lots of vegetables. Very helpful!

  9. You know, it’s funny. You never realize how good a piece of fruit is until you’ve cut out the candy and other junk.

The very first item on this article got me thinking about that. Back when I’d struggle with junk food and candy, fruit often wouldn’t appeal to me. Later on, a piece of fruit became a real treat, and there is something to be said about how wholesome and satisfying it is compared to the empty calories in candy.

It’s great to be able to connect a junk food craving to what your body really needs.
